There will be an assembly today during period 2 in order to introduce teachers and discuss policies and procedures. All students will attend. Students should go to their period 2 classes so that attendance can be taken and then wait to be called to the gym.
Today is orientation for new students. Level tests will take place from 9:00-11:00. Orientation presentations and registration forms will take place from 11:00-12:30. Lunch will take place from 12:30-1:00. Uniform fittings, intake, and course selection will take place from 1:00-3:00.
There will be blocks of ESL level testing at 10:00 and 2:00. Students coming from overseas must all take the ESL level test. Testing consists of three parts and will last roughly two hours. Students should also bring any documents they still need to submit, including certified English
Final exams for August Semester were held today from 10:00-12:00. Report cards will be available in the coming week. Students should call before coming in to pick up their report cards or send an email to the administration if they need to have report cards mailed to local schools. We

Students graduating in August should be sure to have completed their volunteer hours. Volunteer forms are available in the office, and should be signed by the student and activity supervisor and returned to Guidance. Students who have not done 40 hours will not have earned their OSSD.

Hello, this is Min Kyung Park's mother. I had no doubts or worries when first deciding to send Min Kyung to UMC High School because of the many good things I heard about the school's reputation. Although I also heard some news about the principal's strict reinforcement of school policies, I was relieved to hear that Min Kyung was adjusting to school life in Canada quickly. I am thankful to the school, seeing how Min Kyung is starting to take more initiative in her school work and having a good time with her friends.
